Training and Credentials

My formal education includes a BA in Asian Studies and English from the University of Puget Sound, an MEd from Western Washington University, and an MA in Systems Counseling through the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) at Bastyr University. I have also enjoyed in-depth training in Family Constellation Facilitation, Hakomi Therapy, spiritual mentorship, and Mindfulness Practices.

My counseling framework includes several types of family therapy. I resonate the most with Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapy. When working with couples, I draw a lot from Gottman, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and attachment work, though I do not limit myself to these lenses. In our time together, I will engage in a blend of treatment methods to meet your needs.

I aim to always meet you where you are. My style can be best described as warm, genuine, and uplifting. I am direct and challenging when needed, but bring in humor, too. I truly believe sitting with someone as witness and guide is the greatest honor possible.

In the words of Mary Oliver, I ask you, “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
